Last year Cartier enriched its timeless range of timepieces with the debut of the elegant Drive de Cartier.

On the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show 2017 Cartier unveiled two new models - in steel and rose gold - adding to the collection Drive de Cartier what I believe to be one of the most fascinating complications in watchmaking is the moon phases, with the Drive de Cartier Moon Phases.

La pillow case it measures 40mm and seems to be designed to fit any type of wrist. The crown is octagonal in shape with blue sapphire cabochons - a hallmark of the maison -, the rounded sapphire crystal follows the lines of the middle case.

Le hands sword in blued steel of the hours and minutes, capture our attention on the wonderful guilloché workmanship of the clock face asilvery with Roman numerals.

Moving towards 6 o'clock, it is possible to admire themoon phase indicator to be able to monitor the cycles of the moon with extraordinary precision. In fact, they will only need to be manually corrected once every 125 years.

The new Drive de Cartier Moon Phases it is equipped with the in-house automatic movement 1904-LU MC at 28,800 vibrations / hour and equipped with a 48-hour power reserve.

On the wrist, the new Drive de Cartier Moon Phases is of timeless elegance and gives the feeling - typical of Cartier watches - of wearing not a simple watch, but a small work of art.

On both models Drive de Cartier Moon Phases An alligator strap with folding clasp is mounted, in matt black on the steel reference, in matt brown on the rose gold model.

The price is around € 7.100 for the steel model and around € 21.000 for the pink gold reference.
