With the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatique, Bulgari set a new record by making thethinnest automatic watch in the world.

More precisely, this is the third record set in a few years, achieved after having presented Octo Finissimo Tourbillon (2014) and theFinest Octo Minute Repeater (2016)

The avant-garde of Italian design and fine Swiss watchmaking give life to an iconic timepiece with a strong character. The rigorous and elegant lines of the case, which refer to the masterpieces of Italian architecture, house the very thin caliber BLV138 entirely developed by the Bulgari manufacture of Le Sentier.
The BLV138 caliber is the natural evolution of the manual winding BLV128 to which the automatic winding system with micro rotor in platinum 950. The choice of this material is due to the fact that since the rotor has a very small diameter, hence the term micro, the higher specific weight of platinum is able to provide more inertia to the small oscillating mass.

The visible background also allows you to admire the finishes a Côtes de Genève e beadwork of the bridges and plate of the in-house movement.

This solution, together with other much more complex ones, was fundamental to be able to create a movement that is often alone 2.23 mm, improving the record that belonged to the 1208P of the Piaget Altiplano (2.35mm)!

The anthracite-colored dial is one with the case, ensuring excellent visibility to the baton indexes and hands. dauphin black hours, minutes and small seconds at 7 o'clock.

The very thin sandblasted titanium case of the Bulagari Octo Finissimo automatic measures 40 mm.

On the wrist it gives the impression of being a little bigger due to its shape, but it also fits well on less 'bull' wrists thanks to its angles. The feeling is that of having a 'made to measure' case.

 

The price of Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic with matte black alligator strap is  €12,500 , while it is of 13,500 € for the version with titanium bracelet.
