To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Chopard manufacture, the historic maison has created its first Minute Repeater, LUC Full Strike.

The in-house movement boasting excellent finishes recognized by the Hallmark of Geneva, hosts a number of exclusive innovations. The striking of hours, quarters of an hour and minutes give a extraordinarily clear sound, thanks to the hammers that strike directly on a transparent crystal ring, an integral part of the watch glass. The definition of 'crystal clear sound' finds its real application with this solution. This is an exclusive innovation, which can be admired directly on the face of the watch at 10 o'clock. The Manufacture movement is the result of approximately 17 hours of development applied to the caliber 08.01-L, which can boast three patents. A long work that has allowed Chopard to find and design solutions that overcome the historical problems of the gongs, as well as in redefining the ergonomics of the system on which the hammers operate.

The gongs are tuned to two notes, Do and Fa. Sapphire is used as an autistic amplifier, giving unprecedented sound breadth.

Il LUC Full Strike he is also able to accumulate enough energy to perform the longest repetition of this complication, that of 12:59. The caliber is equipped with a double power reserve indication positioned at 2 o'clock, with the aid of small superimposed hands. The first, golden, indicates the power reserve of the movement, while the other in blue indicates the number of repetitions that can be activated.

The LUC Full Strike is in fact equipped with two barrels. Both are equipped with a sliding spring, used in automatic movements, to ensure that the movement's winding operations are not hindered by the maximum compression of the spring, protecting them against any risk of breakage. One stores the energy needed for the time measurement and the other needed for the minute repeater.

With the creation of this true horological work of art, Chopard couldn't find a better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture. The LUC Full Strike represents the maximum expression of the maison's savoir faire.

The ability to innovate one of the most fascinating complications in watchmaking, combined with the meticulous attention to every detail and finish, have led this timepiece not only to conquer the coveted prize of the'Aiguille d'Or' , but they have actually consigned it to the history of this fascinating world.
