The seventh edition of Only Watch, the biennial charity auction organized by the AMM association (Association Monegasque against myopathies) with the help of Christie's, in support of medical and scientific research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

To finance this laudable cause 50 brands of haute horlogerie have created each of the unique pieces, made exclusively for this event, allowing enthusiasts and collectors to win a truly exclusive watch.

The edition that took place yesterday raised 11 million euros. A great achievement, which was made possible thanks to some truly remarkable exploits. Let's see them in detail.

The protagonist was undoubtedly the Patek Philippe Ref.5208T-010, sold for 5,4 Millions of Euro .

An exclusive reference. Just think that the case is titanium, material never used on this model e rarely used by Patek Philippe. The blue dial is hand finished with guilloché 'carbon fiber' motif.

This exclusive reference, 5208T-10, it also has the distinction of being one of the few ultra complications animated by a self-winding movement. The caliber R CH 27 PS IQ, which can be admired thanks to the visible bottom, combines together minute repeater, single button chronograph and simultaneous indication of the perpetual calendar. Not a small detail, the hand-decorated micro rotor with guilloché finish that recalls the decoration in the center of the dial.

Great success also for il F.P. Journe Monopusher Split-Push Chronograph with tantalum case (developed exclusively for Only Watch) and blue chrome dial, sold for approx 990 thousand.

Il FP Journe caliber 1517 with column wheel, visible thanks to the visible background is a real spectacle. The elegance of the bridges and components used, especially for the chronograph function, represent the maximum of the watchmaking tradition.

Another protagonist of this edition of Only Watch was theAudemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in black ceramic, che was beaten for 688.600 Euros .

It is a truly exceptional unique piece, in which the shades of the case and the Grand Tappiserie 'skylight' dial they merge, evoking the last glimmers of light before nightfall when the moon appears, queen of the night, splendidly represented in the almost realistic lunar disk.

In addition, the ' Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in black ceramic it is the first perpetual calendar in black ceramic with a sapphire glass bottom, which allows you to appreciate the hand-made finishes of the oscillating weight.

Surprisingly, another example that caught the attention of many was the YOU SLEEP Black Bay Bronze One .

The amazement is certainly not due to its beauty - indeed, it is a truly fascinating watch - but due to the fact that it has exceeded its lowest initial estimate by as much as 100 times. The YOU SLEEP Black Bay Bronze One it was sold for 323 thousand euros!

Obviously we are not talking about the Black Bay Bronze on the market, but of a single piece made in an exclusive configuration. The winding crown at 9 o'clock and the dial, as well as the bezel disc, is Khaki green. A 'perfect match' of colors well balanced with the patina of the Bronze case.

Only Watches, now in its seventh edition, is confirmed as an initiative able to catalyze the attention of many enthusiasts and professionals in the sector for the achievement of a noble cause - which is the mission of the association ADM - beyond the clock itself.

This charity auction was strongly supported by Luc Pettavino - president of AMM - in 2005 with the aim of finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, one of the best known neuromuscular dystrophies of childhood.

In 12 years, the association has raised about 40 million euros which he was able to allocate to actively support research projects on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
