In view of the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and in the wake of the success of the Marine Torpilleur, Ulysse Nardin launches the Marine Torpilleur Military edition, a chronometer designed for a new generation of adventurers. Bold and daring, it is a direct descendant of the pocket chronometers cherished by 19th and early 20th century naval captains, entirely redesigned for a decidedly modern era.

Animated by the same Ulysse Nardin movement made in-house UN-118 for the famous Marine Chronometer, the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military it takes on an even more grandiose aspect, as if to incite the wearer to rise to a new level of challenge.

Il dynamic design is present in every line, the military aspect in every form of this contemporary dynamo. Its two interpretations draw inspiration from the timeless elegance of vintage military watches. The first, with an eggshell dial, whose Arabic numerals outlined allow a quick reading of the time, it is combined with an elegant leather strap. The second, in elegant black, with orange Arabic numerals and hands coated in superluminova - ideal for allowing the legibility in the dark - is held on the wrist by a black strap with orange stitching. Both of these editions arouse admiration, thanks to an oversized crown, a formidable 44 mm steel case with a sandblasted finish, water resistant to 50 meters, and a caseback stamped with an image of the Torpilleur.

Considerable aspect for a very accessible chronometer is its movement of Ulysse Nardin UN-118 manufacture. Characterized by the proprietary silicon anchor escapement, made in-house in the Swiss manufacture, it boasts both the COSC the Ulysse Nardin certificate a double guarantee performance to the best standards. The small seconds function at 6 o'clock is complemented by a red serial number, showing the numbering on a limited series of suns 300 specimens. The initials CW proudly define that it is a Chronometer Watch, referring to the military models of the past, the design of which followed the strict codes of the armed forces.
