JAEGER-LECOULTRE POLARIS MEMOVOX, the return of an icon

The 'spearhead' of the newcomers to Jaeger-LeCoultre is thelimited edition of 1000 pieces celebrating the 50 anniversary of the Memovox Polaris from 1968. With this re-edition, the maison of The Trail brings back to life a legendary watch, a faithful companion of sailors and ship captains, faithfully reproducing the design that distinguishes it.

Among the elements that characterize the Polaris le three crowns: one to set the alarm (top), one for the rotating inner bezel (at 3 o'clock) and one to set the alarm (bottom). The 'Alarm Clock' performs a function of memovox, or “voice of memory”, in fact served to remind divers that it was time to return to the surface.

The vintage connotation of the dial was also made possible thanks to the use of the Super-LumiNova vanilla color. The central disc is set using the alarm crown and rotates to align the triangle at the desired time.

To animate the new Polaris Memovox we find the in-house caliber Jaeger-LeCoultre 956, direct heir of the first alarm clock movement created by Jaeger in the XNUMXs, equipped with an exclusive gong mechanism.
