In the last few years Montblanc. has worked hard to remind watch enthusiasts around the world of its rich history with Minerva, the manufactory of Villeret it owns and is known for its amazing chronograph movements.

Skillfully blending influences of the past with an updated spirit of refinement and elegance, Montblanc revisited its Minerva archives, intentionally choosing the era of chronograph innovation and timeless models that were a highlight in the mid-20th century. . This year at SIHH 2019, in fact, the brand presented its latest line of products Heritage which embraces the design “codes” of the 40s and 50s (domed dials and a return to Arabic numerals). Thus was born the new Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph, with 40mm stainless steel case and a salmon colored dial.

The watch, created in a limited edition of 100 pieces and which is not expected in stores until June 2019, is the embodiment of history and modernity. Lovingly referred to as a doctor's watch, the "pulsometer" allows for heart rate measurement. In the 20th century, many doctors invested in this watch as it was considered a very accurate way to check the heartbeat of their patients.

The hour and minute hands are bent according to the curve of the dial and are coated with Super-LumiNova for easy reading. The blue baton hands, on the other hand, offer the other function indications. The Montblanc Heritage Pulsograph 2019 is equipped with a Manufacture Monopulsante Chronograph caliber MB M13.21, a column-wheel chronograph, visible through the caseback which is based on and inspired by the historic Monopulsante Minerva 13.20 caliber developed in the 20s.

The beautifully decorated caliber (carefully handcrafted) is successfully subjected to the 500-hour laboratory test, as is the custom of the brand, and is water resistant to 5 bar / 50 meters. Starting from its roots and through a long and careful research, Montblanc. creates a limited edition intended to be a collector's item.
