Il Roger Dubuis Excalibur One Off is a multi-complex watch that refers in design to the Lamborghini SC18 Alston supercar, the first hypercar created by the Lamborghini racing team and developed exclusively for circuit driving, the Roger Dubuis engineers have created a timepiece inspired by the typical aesthetic codes and aggressive style of the design philosophy of the Maison Lamborghini Squadra Corse, creating clean and precise lines, giving great depth and a sparkling "body"! Pirelli has contributed to making this timepiece even more special, offering the help of its engineers to Roger Dubuis for the creation of a strap composed of nylon fibers, exactly like those found in the internal structure of Pirelli tires, thus equipping it excellent resistance to torsion and traction, making possible a particular skeletonized effect through an extended perforation.

Just like the Pirelli tires marked with the letter "L", custom designed for Lamborhini for several years now, the strap of the Excalibur One-off also adopts the detail of the "L", characterized by details that refer to the cooling intakes typical of Lamborghini and is designed to maximize breathability and resistance.

The caliber (RD106SQ: third caliber specially made for a timepiece born from this triple collaboration) includes 3 world premieres in a condensation of mechanics always inspired by the automotive world. It highlights a double V-shaped flying tourbillon assembled on two planes inclined 90 ° to each other and connected by a differential, thus recalling the V-geometry of Lamborghini supercar engines. to compensate for the effect of gravity on the mechanism and improve its accuracy.

At 12 o'clock the Excalibur One-off features a double jumping hour disc with a minute hand and a jumping hour counter (like on the Lamborghinis, where one hand marks the number of revolutions and a counter shows the speed). The complex construction of each single element required the redesign and adaptation of each tool used for the finishing of the components to meet the standards of the Poinçon de Genève.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse is also known for its skill in the use of carbon fiber, a material used in many of its creations and in particular in the supercar SC18 Alston, which in fact has also been defined as "the unrepeatable Lamborghini masterpiece in carbon fiber" . The robust 47mm case of the Excalibur One-off features SMC carbon within its frame and in that of the flange and bridge, as well as a carbon fiber woven middle case. Finally, ceramic (another material linked to the world of cars and widely used for supercar brakes) is used in the shade of black on the bezel and in that of lacquer red for the minute markers.
