A true classic needs no updates. Tangent, the iconic timepiece NOMOS, just got a really well done one. Starting from the caliber inside it was made possible to modify the dial.
The new updated version with date, presents itself in a completely new way. The date ring is located around the edge of the dial and includes two red dots that enclose today's date, making it even more visible and extremely legible.
A unique and unmistakably NOMOS aesthetic element, made possible, as already mentioned, by the new neomatik caliber DUW 6101 always wonderfully thin, despite the addition of this particular date window (positioned around the movement, the date ring is particularly large). The 40.5mm stainless steel case is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 58 grams. Resistant to 5 atm and with a sapphire crystal caseback, it has a power reserve of 42 hours.
The original Tangente Update watch from NOMOS is presented in two colors at a price of 3.200 EUR. Initially launched with a silver-plated white dial, it is now also available in dark ruthenium a very rare platinum-like metal. The result is an extremely elegant and sophisticated timepiece.
Michael Paul, NOMOS designer, has achieved something extraordinary and questioned about the new timepiece he summarized his work as follows:
"The search for the balance between innovation and veneration ..."
