At the last clock show in Geneva, Audemars Piguet presented the renewed version of its cult model Royal Oak, changing the dial and movement of the 41 mm diameter model, with various updates also on the case.

The previous model, reference 15400, was introduced in 2012 and was known as the "large" version (the first with a 41 mm case) and, now after six years it receives its first update. In the quadrant of this new reference, the reason Grand Tapisserie is more pronounced and the date display is now closer to the edge of the dial.

The 41mm diameter remains the same but the total height is increased from 9,8mm to 10,04mm. The movement of the new model, now more similar to the Jumbo Reference 15202, is powered by the new self-winding caliber 4302 which was introduced with the new series code 11.59.

Unlike the Caliber 3120 previously used, the movement beats at 28800 vph and offers a power reserve of 70 hours (probably thanks to the increase in thickness).

The new model is available in 5 different versions with stainless steel and 18K rose gold cases offered on metal straps or alligator straps. The colors of the dial are black, gray and blue.

The steel models, Ref.15500ST.OO.1220ST.01 (steel / blue dial), the 15500ST.OO.1220ST.02 (steel / gray dial) and the 15500ST.OO.1220ST.03 (steel / black dial) are available at the price of 19.900 EURO.

The reference 15500OR.OO.1220OR.01 in bracelet rose gold is available at EURO 52.100. Finally, the 15500OR.OO.D002CR.01 in rose gold with leather strap at EURO 33.000.
