Al Baselworld just finished, Bvlgari announced his fifth world record, presenting the new one Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT, the world's thinnest self-winding watch, featuring a chronograph and GMT functions, an exciting blend of technical and aesthetic refinement.

The brand has managed in recent years to have one of the most solid collections in the entire sector and also at Baselworld 2019 there was the opportunity to exhibit extraordinary innovations, creating an ultra-thin and record-breaking watch: Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT. In fact, Buvlgari, after having created the tourbillon, the minute repeater and the thinnest automatic watch in the world, presented a few days ago, even the thinnest chronograph, an impressive and highly technical timepiece.

At the heart of this ambitious project, there is the new movement, the BVL 318 caliber only 3,3mm thick, making it the thinnest automatic chronograph caliber ever made.

The GMT function only adds even more value to the movement but, looking at the caliber, we can see that there is no traditional rotor. In fact, to make the movement so subtle, Bvlgari had to use a peripheral rotor in solid platinum with an increased diameter. The watch has a 55-hour power reserve and local time can be adjusted by pressing the button at nine o'clock, making it easier to change time zones. The new Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT it will be available in late summer at a price of approximately 17.600 EURO.
