In 2014, when Parmigiani Fleurier launched the Round Metrographealthough there was a lot to like about that new chronograph, the glance did not convince the enthusiast audience.
With an elegant and traditional design, the fate of the Tonda Metrographe began to change with the collection shown for the first time at the 2017 SIHH, which featured redesigned dials, a sign that small things can make a big difference.
The Maison based in Fleurier has added to its Metrographe collection a dial characterized by a blue-opaline blue finish in a very elegant pink gold version.
The hour markers are plated with rhodium and matched with the hour and minute hands. The large date opening shows only odd numbers and is located at 12 o'clock, atop the brand's oval logo. A wavy pattern on the periphery of the dial adds an overall sense of depth while the tachymeter scale emphasizes the sporty yet elegant touch.
With its 40 mm diameter, the asymmetrical 18K rose gold case features sinuous lines and prominent teardrop lugs, almost giving the impression of a cushion-shaped case with a perfectly round opening for the dial.
The sapphire crystal caseback is secured with four screws and guarantees a water resistance of 30m to the superb caliber <font style="vertical-align: inherit;"><font style="vertical-align: inherit;">PF2018, a self-winding chronograph movement that guarantees precision, reliability and ease of use.
