Baselworld she is going through tough times, accumulating more and more criticism and seeing over half of the brands on display leave the show. The announcement we all remember was, of course, that of Nick Hayek which confirmed the final decision on the exit of the SWATCH GROUP from the salon to suffer from 2019.

Nonetheless, the edition just ended was better than expected, but the situation remains uncertain for the future "show", as it sees yet another great brand leave Baselworld 2020: Breitling.

In a press release from Breitling, in the words of its CEO George Kern, explains that the brand

"Yes will focus on the Global Summit with subsequent local roadshows in 2020 ".

The main reason apparently has to do with the new date of the show, which, as already stated several times, will be from 30 April to 5 May 2020, ie immediately after the SIHH, given this, that " it cannot be reconciled with our programming " He says Kern, which he then concluded by saying:

We will decide whether to return to Baselworld from 2021 onwards, and this will depend on the calendar of the event and the possibility of holding the Breitling Summit ”.

While there are those who will leave the show for the year 2020, there are also those like Tudor who have announced that they will be present with their own stand in Hall 1.0 starting from next year.

Rolex will thus have the opportunity to expand its stand, demonstrating to fans of the sector that the brand has no intention of leaving the show.
