Il Traditionnelle Chronograph Tourbillon is a classic of Vacheron Constantin and although this new model combines two traditional complications, these are presented in a truly original way. Instead of appearing on the underside of the dial, its tourbillon regulator is unusually positioned at 12 o'clock. The chronograph is a monopusher with a maximum register of 45 minutes positioned at 3 o'clock, while the power reserve indication is perfectly opposite to the tourbillon and positioned at 6 o'clock.

The model is presented in an elegant 42.5mm rose gold case. Its aesthetic is consistent with the codes of the collection traditional with a silver opaline dial, track minute markers, type hour and minute hands dauphin, case and lugs stage and fluted caseback. 

By turning the watch, the sapphire crystal caseback showcases the unobstructed view of the hand-wound caliber 3200 (caliber that in 2015, in the frame of its 260° anniversary, Vacheron Constantin has already used monopulsed chronograph in the tourbillon Harmony).

This sophisticated chronograph mechanism displays its traditional architecture with a horizontal clutch and column wheel. The use of a “friction” technique for the clutch mechanism aims to ensure smooth activation of the function, preserving it from excessive wear over time and avoiding potential “stuttering” of the chronograph hand when activated. The monopusher chronograph function features an activation system that prevents the chronograph mechanism from activating when insufficient pressure is applied to the pusher. 

Il caliber 3200 it is regulated by a one-minute tourbillon whose cage is inspired by the cross of Malta, emblem of the Maison. The balance wheel beats slowly at 18.000 vibrations per hour. The power reserve is 65 hours. Finally, the movement is produced in accordance with the Geneva seal and its finish includes Geneva stripes, circular grain and bevel.

The chronograph Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon is complemented by a dark brown alligator leather strap, fitted with a cross-shaped folding clasp Malta in rose gold. The price is 227.000 EURO.
