This year Tudor does not want to cease to amaze us. After presenting just a few months ago two new Black Bay Fifty-Eight, the new Black Bay Chrono, a ceramic Black Bay with METAS certification, here is the new TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze reference 79012m.

The most attentive observers know that it is certainly not the first time that Tudor has used bronze declined in its Black Bay models, and it is true. But this new edition is mounted on the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, therefore with a smaller case, and for the first time there is a bracelet completely in bronze, with a new type of clasp with quick adjustment “T-Fit”. Let's analyze in detail the innovations introduced.

Let's start by cash 39 mm in diameter in bronze, with a satin finish, much loved by enthusiasts due to its proportions that draw on the first Tudor diver models, in particular the reference 7924 "Big Crown". The material used is composed of an aluminum alloy and bronze, used in naval engineering for submerged parts that require particular resistance to corrosion, such as propellers.

But what makes this material so fascinating is the effect that time will give to the case and bracelet: a light patina, which will be different and unique depending on the habits of the wearer.

Il clock face opaque "bronze-brown" color, it is concentric shaded from the outside towards the center and is framed by the bezel insert that recalls the same shades of the indexes and "Snowflake" hands coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova® grade A.

Il movement equipped on the new Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze, is the MT 5400: automatic movement with bidirectional tungsten oscillating weight, power reserve of 70 hours, COSC certified, with a daily gear difference between -2 and +4 seconds to fully assembled watch.

But the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze is also the first Tudor model in a metal other than steel, to have a bracelet made entirely of bronze. In addition to the classic rivets, now the trademark of Tudor bracelets, this new edition is equipped with a redesigned closure in satin bronze with TUDOR "T-fit" for quick length adjustment in 5 positions. This system allows the wearer to instantly vary the length of the bracelet.

For those wishing to lighten the Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze, they can count on a additional strap in jacquard fabric “bronze-brown” color included.

The new TUDOR Black Bay Fifty-Eight Bronze on the wrist is simply perfect. For a wrist like mine (17,5cm) it is well proportioned and very comfortable thanks to its weight and a really comfortable bracelet. This edition, which will only be available in TUDOR Boutiques, in Italy in the Tudor boutique in Rome, in my opinion embodies all the qualities of Tudor: a captivating and fascinating tool watch, which does not pretend to be admired for its intrinsic value, but for its uniqueness.

As written a few lines above, this particular Bronze - Aluminum alloy will give a unique patina to each watch. For the most skeptical, who are still afraid to approach this material due to its oxidation: it seems that this process will be minimal and limited to a certain period of time beyond which it will stop.

The new Black Bay Fifty-Eight, equipped with a bracelet and including a jacquard strap, is priced at € 4'350. It can be said that value for money is competitive as always and in line with the Tudor philosophy.
