After the success of the first edition of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2022, Rolex, Richemont and Patek Philippe have decided to give life to the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF). A non-profit foundation based in Geneva was established today.
The goal of Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation is to promote watchmaking excellence worldwide. The purpose of this new foundation, the WWGF, created in September 2022, is to organize watch and jewelery fairs, face-to-face or digital, in Geneva and beyond our borders.
It will be led by a Foundation Board, with Jean-Fréderic Dufour in the role of president and Emmanuel Perrin Vice President of WWGF. Together with the founding members, they will have the task of defining the main strategic lines of this ambitious project. The Exhibitors' Committee, made up of representatives of the exhibiting Maisons, will continue for its part to decide on all aspects relating to the proper functioning of the fair. Matthieu Humair, current CEO of Foundation of Haute Horlogerie (FHH), will play the same role in the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation. WWGF will be based in Geneva, thus giving the city the opportunity to consolidate its reputation as the watchmaking capital of the world.
Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023
The next edition of Watches and Wonders Geneva will be held 27 from March to April 2 2023 in the pavilions of the Palexpo in Geneva. The fair, which will host almost 50 brands, will open its doors to the public for the first time, during the weekend, of Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 April 2023.
Watch enthusiasts and collectors will thus be able to visit the stands to discover all the news and trends of the watchmaking year. Tickets will be available from the beginning of February 2023 and can be purchased exclusively online via the watchesandwonders.com platform. The ticket price is set at 70 Swiss francs. The first five days will therefore be reserved for the press, retailers and guests of the 49 exhibiting Maisons.
