Watches and Wonders relocates to Hainan Island for three months, so-called Sanya Mall and, for the first time, the newly opened so-called Haikou Mall. Thirteen watchmaking Maisons will participate toevent, where the public will be able to discover the latest collections and an exclusive exposure on watchmaking designed and built for the occasion.
Creating a timeless parenthesis… for a deep immersion: this is the ambition of Watches and Wonders Hainan which will be held from December 2, 2022 to February 28, 2023. Three months of exhibitions and meetings, a bridge that connects two years and which will culminate in Chinese New Year celebration on January 22, 2023.

The thirteen participating brands – A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin – will exhibit and unveil their watch collections in the two malls, a unique opportunity for the public to discover exceptional pieces.
With an original formula, one event, two destinations, three months of exhibition, Watches and Wonders Hainan will offer an overview of the history of watchmaking, its complications and its most beautiful creations.
The new so-called Mall in Haikou will be the scene of an original scenography that will bring together the boutiques of the exhibiting Maisons and a cultural exhibition in an exclusively dedicated space of 800 square meters. For the occasion, a real immersive and interactive village was specially designed, divided into four parts. It will include a path that tells the story of watchmaking from its creation to the present day, an educational area to approach the most important complications, a practical laboratory supervised by a trainer and finally the digital exhibition "Time Design", dedicated to evolution of wristwatch design through the ages.

Each Maison has also planned animations to present their new products. A. Lange & Söhne will offer a retrospective of its history seen through the eyes of its new Grande Lange 1; IWC will be centered on photography, with four corners to pose with the new Portofino collection; Instead, Cartier opted for a digital table designed to dive into the heart of its Coussin, Pasha and Panthère watches. Resolutely oriented towards responsible watchmaking, Baume & Mercier has developed an innovative approach characterized by an Automatic Seed Collector alongside its new Riviera watches. Finally, Montblanc will focus on writing, with an Ink Bar from which customers can write and send a card with the image of the new models of the 1858 collection.
To find out more, the rendezvous is on Hainan Island for a different watch experience. Only three hours by road separate the two destinations Haikou and Sanya. All connoisseurs and watch enthusiasts are warned.
