Il Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este it is considered one of the most exclusive events worldwide due to the rarity and historicity of the vehicles. The international car competition takes place like every year on Lake Como and will take place from 19 al 21 May.

A. Lange & Söhne, partner since 2012 of the event, will be the protagonist with a special CHRONOGRAPH 1815, which will be awarded to the winner of the prize "Best of Show".
If you stop to think about it, you discover that there are indeed many parallels between mechanical watches and classic cars. A shared passion that is reflected in the freedom of expression, the independence to embark on new paths and the determination to make the best use of time.
This pioneering spirit is a recurring theme in the history of A. Lange & Söhne. More than 175 years ago, the founder of the manufactory Ferdinand Adolf Lange fulfilled his vision of making the remote town of Glassworks the center of German fine watchmaking. Her great-grandson, Walter Lange, carried this vision forward after the reunification of Germany, rebuilding the company of his ancestors and entering the uncharted territories of watchmaking with craftsmanship and innovative engineering skills.
During the awards ceremony which will take place on Sunday evening, the CEO of Lange, William Schmid will deliver the watch to the overall winner. “Like the works of art on wheels displayed here, the timepiece combines classic design with masterful mechanics,” explains Wilhelm Schmid. “It is a sign of our admiration for automotive works of art, which were far ahead of their time, and for their owners who are passionate about preserving the timeless elegance of the mechanics”.
Special features of the Competition Edition include the clock face in solid rose gold and hand engraved cuvette with the emblem of the Competition.
